The Suzuki Niagara Summer Camp was founded by the teachers at the Suzuki Niagara School of Music.  All our teachers are certified in the Suzuki Method, and will be teaching at the camp.

Camp Information

The 2019 Suzuki Niagara Summer Camp will run from Monday July 29th until Friday August 2nd at Bethany Community Church (1388 Third Street Louth, St. Catharines).   Each day begins at 9am and ends at 3pm, with two snack breaks and a lunch break.  Campers will need to bring their own lunches, but a light snacks will be provided throughout the day.

Each budding musician will be placed in a small group (4 to 6 students) with students at a similar level. These groups will rotate throughout the day, participating in private lessons, small group lessons/chamber groups, large group lessons, masterclasses, various workshops, and enough free time to enjoy the outdoors and bond with their fellow musicians.

Program Options

1)  Half Day - for complete beginners

This option aims to give children a solid and foundational start on either the violin, viola, cello, or piano.  Running from 9am until 12pm, students who enroll in this program will get an accurate experience of learning a new instrument using the Suzuki Method of teaching.

  • Play with others of similar age and ability in small groups and chamber ensembles

  • Develop great technique and violin playing foundations with teachers outside of their regular lessons

  • Participate in masterclasses with different teachers

  • Perform polished pieces with an accompanist

3) Half Day - Little Stars for pre-twinklers
